Svolt’s Innovation Proven by Authorities: No. 2 in Patent Publications and Top-Tier Invention Granted Rate

Recently, the China Automotive Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Center, together with the CATARC Technology and Innovation Support Center, jointly released the Statistical Analysis Report of China Automotive Patent Data in 2025. The report shows that SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd. recorded 2,227 patent publications in the power battery system segment, ranking No. 2 in the industry. 


Meanwhile, SVOLT offers standout performance in invention patent grants. With a grant rate of 92.9%, SVOLT ranks No. 23 on the 2025 Top 100 Companies by Invention Patent Grant Rate list, and No. 3 among power battery companies.


As a core technology sector for NEV power battery systems, the volume of patent publications is widely regarded as a key indicator of a company’s R&D momentum and the breadth of its technology layout. Through sustained investment in areas such as stacking processes, short-blade batteries, and semi-solid-state technologies, SVOLT has built a full-chain patent portfolio spanning materials, cells, systems, and manufacturing processes, creating a differentiated technology moat.

Beyond patent volume, patent quality is an even more critical benchmark for evaluating a company’s innovation strength. According to HimmPat’s 2025 Top 100 Companies (China) by Invention Patent Grant Rate, SVOLT achieved an invention patent grant rate of 92.9%, ranking No. 23 nationwide and No. 3 within the battery sector—well above the industry average.

 

The ranking covers companies with more than 200 invention patent cases concluded over the year. The grant rate serves as a practical proxy for the rigor, originality, and real-world feasibility of a company’s technical innovations. SVOLT’s high grant rate further validates the technical maturity and reliability of its R&D outcomes, it is an important hallmark of a technology-driven innovation entity.

 

In the market, SVOLT has been named as the global Top 10 for power battery installation capacity for consecutive years. From January to November 2025, SVOLT ranked No. 9 worldwide by installed capacity, delivering 86% year-on-year growth. SVOLT has also been named to the GEI China Unicorn for four consecutive years, and was recognized as “the Most Valuable Startups of the Last Decade.”
